Biographical Information

Hans Werner has pitched for the Guatemalan national team.

Werner helped Guatemala win the 2012 Senior League World Series (the 15-16-year-old division of Little League), their first global title in any tournament. He went the distance in his lone outing in the 2013 Bolivarian Games, throwing a two-hit whitewash (14 K, 0 BB) against Bolivia. He was then Guatemala's top hurler in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (0 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 K in 3 1/3 IP; the team ERA was 9.49). In the 2017 Central American Games, he lost in relief against host Nicaragua (4 BB, 0 H, 2 R, 1 ER in 2 IP) and won the next day against Costa Rica (1 2/3 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 R) after taking over for Juan Valdez with one out in the 9th of what would be a 13-10 victory. Guatemala wound up with a Bronze.
