Biographical Information[edit]
Dick McCabe was a player-manager for the Fort Worth Cats in 1932. He resigned August 3rd to sign with the Dallas Steers and pitch for them in the playoffs, which they lost in the league finals. McCabe's baseball career came to an end after the 1932 season.
He became a salesman for the William Simon Brewery in Buffalo, NY and then rose through the ranks to Vice President, the position he held at his death, which was caused by complications following a stroke.
