Biographical Information[edit]
Dick Kauffman played most of his major league games as first baseman for the St. Louis Browns in 1915, at a time when teammate George Sisler was still a two-way player. Kauffman was in 32 games at first while Sisler was in 36 that year.
Kauffman hit .258 on a team that hit .246 in 1915.
After his major league days he played seven seasons in the Southern Association, and managed there in 1920.
Kauffman and Paul Musser were at Susquehanna University at the same time.
