Diaz Ordaz (MCL)

From BR Bullpen

The 1978 Diaz Ordaz club is the only minor league team (through 2011) from Ciudad Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, Tamaulipas. They had a forgettable year, finishing last in the Mexican Center League at 15-49. They scored a league-low 191 runs while allowing 324. They made 156 errors in their 64 games, almost two and a half per contest. One bright spot was 17-year-old outfielder Alonso Téllez, who hit .301/.377/.394 and would make the Salón de la Fama on the first ballot.
