Biographical Information[edit]

Norm McRae pitched 22 games in the major leagues for the Detroit Tigers, mostly in 1970 when his ERA was 2.87.

McRae spent many years after that in Mexico, first pitching for five years in the Mexican League and then serving as a coach and manager. He managed Diaz Ordaz in 1978 and Diaz Ordaz's parent club Dorados de Chihuahua for part of 1979.

He died of cancer at age 55.
