Denisa Józsová
Denisa Jószová
- Bats Right, Throws Right
Biographical Information[edit]
Denisa Józsová was on the first Czech women's national team, at the 2019 European Women's Championship. She started their opener in left field. Facing Cassandra Vigneau of France her first time up, she reached on an error and stole second. She later drew a walk from Oceane Godeau and scored. Her only other game also came against France; this time, she was the starting pitcher. She started on a rough note, walking Vigneau, Marjorie Brunel and Mélissa Mayeux then Raina Hunter singled in a run and Julianne Laporte singled in two more. She finally got an out by retiring Géraldine Gauzelin and escaped the frame without another run. She gave up two in the second and was charged with five in the third (retiring two; the last run scored after Alena Langová relieved). She left with a 10-9 deficit but would not take the loss. Her 33.75 ERA was actually better than the Czech team mark of 38.50 as she was 5th of their 11 hurlers. [1]
