Deke Brackett was a college coach.
Brackett was a quarterback in college, playing in the backfield with Beattie Feathers. He was an assistant college football coach from 1934-1962 and 1968-1970. He coached the University of Arkansas baseball team from 1947-1949 as well. Brackett died in a plane crash that killed most of the Marshall University team (Brackett was assistant coach there).
