Biographical Information

Outfielder DeAngelo Mack played in the minor leagues from 2009 to 2012. He was originally taken by the New York Yankees in the 13th round of the 2009 amateur draft, one pick ahead of infielder Sean Halton and a few after future All-Star Matt Carpenter.

Mack debuted with a .306/.372/.513 slash line with 7 home runs and 41 RBI in 66 games for the Staten Island Yankees in 2009 (making the New York-Penn League Mid-Season All-Star team), but fell to a .252 average for the Charleston RiverDogs in 2010 (though he still managed 12 home runs and 56 RBI). He improved to .281/.361/.436 in 99 games between two clubs in 2011, but was granted free agency anyway. He latched on with the independent ranks for 2012, where he had a .234 average to end his career.

Overall, Mack hit .264/.345/.426 with 35 home runs and 197 RBI in 380 games.
