Biographical Information[edit]
Dax Leone became a college head coach in June 2010.
Leone began his career as assistant coach at East Central University. In 2005, he was pitching coach at St. Gregory's University then became pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for Seminole State College. He was assistant at the University of Louisiana at Monroe from 2007-2009. In 2010, he was assistant at Oklahoma State University. He was announced as head coach of the University of Central Oklahoma in June 2010, succeeding Wendell Simmons. He was not retained as head coach after the 2015 season.
Leone became head coach at Seminole State College in 2017, ironically succeeding Wendell Simmons' brother Lloyd. He was an assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College in 2018, then moved to Cowley County Community College as an assitant coach in 2019. Leone then became director of athletics and activities for Shawnee Public Schools in 2022.
