Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher David Taylor was the Los Angeles Dodgers' third-round pick in the 2001 amateur draft. Despite his high draft status, he flamed out quickly, making just 3 starts for the GCL Dodgers in 2001, going 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 6 innings of work. He was taken between two other draftees who never made the majors, Tim Merritt and J.T. Stotts, and was also selected ahead of future major leaguers Lenny DiNardo, Joe Mather and Adam Stern in that round.
