[1] Signed by the Milwaukee Brewers, he was 4-4 with a 4.17 ERA for the '95 Helena Brewers and had a 3.77 ERA in three games for the Beloit Snappers. He missed the 1995-1996 ABL due to injury. He debuted for the Australian national team that summer despite his winter woes, allowing two runs in 3 1/3 IP over five outings as a LOOGY in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. He led the Aussies in appearances, tying for fifth in the event in games pitched. [3] He was 2-0 with a 3.45 ERA for the independent Kane County Cougars in '98. He remained with Australia when they won the 1999 Intercontinental Cup, allowing one run in four innings as his country won the title, their first (and through 2022, only) championship in a global baseball competition.
