David Durand
Biographical Information[edit]
David Durand was a regular for the New Caledonia national team.
Durand was 4 for 9 with 3 runs, 4 RBI and a homer in the 2003 South Pacific Games; he was the only player to homer for New Caledonia. He tied Matthieu Martel for the team lead in RBI. [1] He was 1 for 11 with two runs and a RBI in the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games. [2] New Caledonia won Silver in the 2007 South Pacific Games and he had a big three-run hit to break a 9-9 tie to beat Bronze Medalist American Samoa. [3]
He was New Caledonia's catcher in the 2011 Pacific Games, hitting .158/.200/.158. He handled 35 chances error-free and stole two bases in two tries but allowed 11 steals in 12 tries. [4]
