Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Serrano led the University of California, Irvine Anteaters to the 2007 College World Series in his third season as the head coach.
Prior to UCI, Serrano was a coach at Cerritos College from 1988 to 1994. He was the pitching coach at the University of Tennessee in 1995-1996 and CSU Fullerton from 1997 to 2004. He was head coach of University of California, Irvine from 2005-2007, then was at CSU Fullerton as head coach from 2008-2011. He then moved on to the head job at the University of Tennessee. He resigned effective at the end of the 2017 season with his record at Tennessee hovering around .500 in six seasons. Serrano spent 2018 as pitching coach at West Virginia University. He was named head coach of California State University, Northridge for 2020. On January 25, 2022 Serrano announced 2022 would be his last season before retiring.
Serrano was hired as head coach of Johnson University for 2024 [1].
