Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Jorn played in the St. Louis Cardinals system from 1976 to 1981.
Jorn was an assistant at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in 1982. He was then an assistant at the University of Arkansas from 1983 to 1988.
Moving to the pro ranks, Jorn was a pitching coach for the Prince William Cannons (1989), Greensboro Hornets (1990), Albany Yankees (1991-1992), Capital City Bombers (1993-1994), Kingsport Mets (1995-1996), Lethbridge Black Diamonds (1998), and South Bend Silver Hawks (1999). Jorn managed the Silver Hawks in 2000 and the Staten Island Yankees in 2001. Jorn had rejoined the Yankees' organization in 2001 as a scout covering the Midwest. He was responsible for scouting in the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. He signed Omir Santos.
Jorn went back to Arkansas as pitching coach in 2003, a position he still held as of 2012.
