Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Hamilton had his one career complete game shutout on June 26, 1974 as a member of the Oakland A's. He pitched a two-hitter, walking 4 and striking out 4. The two hits were a 6th-inning single by Dave Chalk and a 9th-inning single by Bobby Valentine.
He is the father of former Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals prospect Jon Hamilton.
Notable Achievements[edit]
- Won three World Series with the Oakland Athletics (1972, 1973 & 1974; he did not play in the 1973 and 1974 World Series)
