Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Darin Holcomb was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 12th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Gary Wilson and made his pro debut that summer with the Tri-City Dust Devils, hitting .303 with 12 home runs in 74 games. The following year, he hit .318 with 14 homers for the Asheville Tourists and was named South Atlantic League MVP. He hit .271 with 13 home runs for the Tulsa Drillers in 2009 but missed the next season with a back injury. He came back in 2011 and hit .268 with 4 homers in 74 games for Tulsa.
