Daniel Alio has been on the Ugandan national team.
Alio was on the first Ugandan team in a Little League World Series, in the 2012 Little League World Series. He hit the country's first LLWS homer, a two-run shot off Panama in their opening loss. [1] In the country's first LLWS win, he got the decision, fanning eight and allowing two runs in 5 1/3 IP against Gresham, OR; he also was 2 for 2 with a walk and a run. [2] He was 3-for-6 and had a 2.34 ERA in the Series, leading Uganda in every offensive category except walks and leading in ERA, wins and strikeouts; Job Echon was next in ERA at 3.60. [3]
When Uganda played in the 2019 Africa Cup Baseball Championship, he was a 2B/3B/LF for the team, hitting .353/.389/.353 with seven runs and four RBI in five games for the second-place finishers. He tied for 9th in the event in runs with Isaac Odongo, Junior Zabré, Lassina Sanfo and Tyler Croft. [4]
