Dan Neumeier appeared in three games for the Chicago White Sox in 1972, a team that went 87-67.
Neumeier was the second major leaguer out of the Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh, drafted in the secondary phase of the 1968 amateur draft. He had an ERA of 2.30 for the Duluth-Superior Dukes in 1968 and the same ERA for the Appleton Foxes in 1969. Converted to a reliever in 1971, he had 17 saves in 1972 with a 2.67 ERA with the Knoxville Sox, earning him his time in the majors at the end of 1972.
He spent 1973 and 1974 with three different AAA teams.
In college in 1968 Neumeier had an ERA of 0.25.
