Biographical Information[edit]
Slugging infielder Dan Lynk played in the minor leagues from 1952 to 1954 and from 1957 to 1959, mostly in the Brooklyn Dodgers chain. Notable seasons include 1957, when he hit .253 with 25 home runs between two clubs; 1958, when he slashed .308/.382/.592 with 37 home runs and 109 RBI for the Sioux City Soos to lead the Western League in home runs; and 1960, when when he wrapped up his career with a .299/.385/.493 line with 19 home runs and 82 RBI for the Allentown Red Sox. He was a AAA selection in the 1958 Rule V Draft by the Minneapolis Millers, but never played for them.
Overall, Lynk hit 118 home runs in 778 games over 6 seasons.
