Dagoberto López was a center fielder for the Colombian national team in the 1945 Amateur World Series (a Silver Medal, Colombia's first medal in a global baseball event), 1947 Amateur World Series (a Gold Medal) and 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games (leading shortstops in fielding at .952). His 48 runs in 1953-1954 were a Colombian League record, broken a year later.
