Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher D.J. Baxendale has played in the Minnesota Twins minor league system since 2012 (through 2014). He was taken by the club in the 10th round of the 2012 amateur draft.

He made 17 relief appearances his first pro season and posted a 0.96 ERA while striking out 31 batters in 18 2/3 innings between the Elizabethton Twins and Beloit Snappers. In 2013, he was 12-7 with a 3.90 ERA in 25 starts between the Fort Myers Miracle and New Britain Rock Cats, earning a spot on the Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star squad. He played for the Miracle, Rock Cats and GCL Twins in 2014 and had considerably less luck, posting an ERA over 5.
