Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Cuke Barrows, who was born and died in Maine, had 99 at-bats over 4 seasons in the majors with the Chicago White Sox during the dead ball era. He also played in the Maine State League, New England League and the International League, and managed Lowell in 1915. One source says that he married into the Hannaford family and, for many years, was part of a business that became known as Barrows Greenhouses in Gorham, ME.
