Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder-first baseman "Cressy" Pratt had power. Fred Sturrup described him as "quietly dangerous." In his best professional season, 1983, he hit 21 homers with 102 RBIs and a .304 average for the Tampa Tarpons, a Class A Cincinnati Reds farm club. Alas, Pratt was out of pro baseball after the following season. In his five-year career (1980-1984), Pratt played 522 games, 83 at the Double-A level. He had 61 homers and a .282 average. He had previously played for the Bahamas national team that finished a surprising 3-5 in the 1979 Pan American Games, ahead of Canada, Mexico and Colombia.
