Biographical Information[edit]
Craig Swan led the National League in ERA in 1978, with a 2.43 ERA, including a 1.67 ERA at Shea Stadium. Despite the superlative pitching, he finished with just a 9-6 record on the year. Before his professional baseball career began, he threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 5 of the 1965 World Series at Dodger Stadium.
