Biographical information[edit]

Craig Allen pitched in the Los Angeles Dodgers system in 1996 and 1997.

He was taken in the 74th round of the 1996 amateur draft by the Dodgers. He split 1996 between the Great Falls Dodgers (13 games, 12 starts) and Savannah Sand Gnats (one start), going a combined 4-2 with a 3.76 ERA. He allowed only one homer in 61 innings with Great Falls. He was 5th in the high-scoring Pioneer League in ERA, right behind future major leaguer Mickey Callaway. He made 10 relief appearances for the Sand Gnats in 1997, going 0-1 with a 7.53 ERA.

Overall, he went 4-3 with a 4.44 ERA in 24 minor league games (13 starts).
