Conor Laverty has pitched in the Australian Baseball League and for the Australian national team.
Laverty had a 6.61 ERA in 8 innings for the Brisbane Bandits in 2022-2023, and he allowed 3 runs in 10 1/3 innings in 2023-2024. He also represented Australia in the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship, and he relieved Daniel McGrath in the 10th inning against Chinese Taipei; he retired Cheng-Yu Chang to end the inning. Laverty then replaced Kieren Hall in the 4th inning against Japan, and he pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings. The Australia lost to Chinese Taipei in the Bronze Medal game. [1]
