Biographical Information[edit]
Conrad "Con" Starkel pitched one game for the Washington Senators in 1906. He was 25 at the time, two years younger than player-manager Jake Stahl.
As a major league pitcher, he gave up six runs in three innings. As a major league hitter, he had one plate appearance, drawing a walk and scoring a run.
Starkel had some success in the minors. In 1904 he won 24 games (split among two teams), in 1905 he went 16-9 (also with two teams) and in 1907 he was 20-17 with Aberdeen.
He pitched for Tacoma in 1902 and 1912, and eventually died there in 1933.
