Complex Leagues

From BR Bullpen

Complex Leagues are a minor league classification created with the reorganization of the minor leagues into the Professional Development League in 2021. They are the lowest level of the classification level, below Class-A and replace the former Rookie-class. Players at this level are just beginning their professional careers and the leagues play shortened schedules. However, while there used to be Rookie-Class leagues playing in different cities much like other minor leagues, under the new classification the leagues are all based in teams' minor league complexes, meaning they are played largely without spectators present.

The Complex Leagues classification comprises the Arizona League, the Gulf Coast League and the Dominican Summer League.
