Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Cole Johnson began his professional career in 2011. He was taken by the Minnesota Twins in the 44th round of the 2011 amateur draft. The scout was Jeff Pohl.

He began his professional career with a 1.29 ERA in 19 appearances and followed that with a 1.71 mark in 16 games (five starts) in 2012. His ERA jumped over three in 2013 and 2014, though he averaged more than a strikeout per inning and made the Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star club the latter campaign. He earned his first taste of Triple-A in 2015.
