Biographical Information[edit]
Cody Belles is a SABR member, 19th century baseball historian, and left-handed relief pitcher for Penn State Wilkes-Barre. He is credited for discovering the identity of the player depicted in a fairly popular image which was long referred to as the "Unknown New York Mutuals Player" who turned out to be Edward Ward. Belles has also interviewed various major league players such as Jim Gosger and Dante Bichette in the past.
He is known for his submarine delivery on the mound.
