Biographical Information[edit]

Clyde Southwick had played for the rather obscure Clay Center Cubs of the Central Kansas League before coming to the majors for four games near the end of the season with the 1911 St. Louis Browns. Clyde hit .250, which wasn't terrible, but in his last game, against the 1911 Cleveland Naps, the Naps stole eight bases against him. Nap Lajoie had three of them.

Clyde also played in the minors in 1912.
