The 7th one-year Negro League team from Cleveland, OH, the Cleveland Stars presented a change of pace in that they didn't play in the Negro National League, which was not around in 1932. Jim Brown managed the team, which was last (5-11) when the East-West League folded due to economic conditions. OF Branch Russell (.347) had been the top performer in terms of average.
