Biographical Information[edit]

Clarence Peerenboom pitched in the minor leagues for five years. He debuted with the 1949 Green Bay Bluejays, getting rocked to the tune of a 7.02 ERA, though he went 3-4. The next year, he was hurling for the Batavia Clippers and was 9-9 with a 4.75 ERA and homered three times in 65 AB. In 1951, Clarence was briefly with the Cedar Rapids Indians but spent the bulk of the year with the Harrisburg Senators, where his line read 4-11, 3.75. He missed the next two years, presumably due to military service.

Returning to baseball, he had a career year with the 1954 Fargo-Moorhead Twins, going 18-9 with a 3.83 ERA. He tied Georges Maranda for second in the Northern League in wins, three behind Mudcat Grant. In '55, he concluded his pitching career with the Columbus Cardinals (1-0, 0.00) and Houston Buffaloes (0-0, 3.60).
