Team History[edit]
The Cimarrones de Tijuana played one season in the independent Golden Baseball League. They replaced the Potros de Tijuana, which had been set to play in the league in 2009, but bowed out at the last moment because of the swine flu epidemic. In their one season of existence, the Cimarrones had by far the worst record in the league, winning only 10 games out of 84. The team was to become the "Embajadores de Tijuana" when a number of Golden Baseball League franchises moved to the new North American League in 2011, but that move failed to materialize.
