Chiang was drafted by the CTBC Brothers in the first round of the 2013 CPBL Draft after they lost the lottery for Chun-Hsiu Chen and Chia-Jen Lo.[1] He started 3 games in his rookie year, but his ERA was 5.29. In the 2014 Taiwan Series, Chiang relieved Chris Cody in the 6th inning of the opener against the Lamigo Monkeys, and he allowed an unearned run in 2 innings. He then succeeded Romulo Sanchez in the 3rd inning in Game 3, and he pitched 2 1/3 innings with 2 runs allowed. The Brothers named him as the starter of Game 5; Chiang surrendered 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings and got the loss. The Monkeys beat the Brothers in 5 games.

The Hualien native became a full-time reliever in 2015, but his pitching was terrible. He had a 8.44 ERA in 29 appearances, and also collected 3 holds. Chiang struggled in 2016 as his ERA was 8.10 in 18 games. He improved in 2017, and he was selected into the 2017 CPBL All-Star Game; he pitched a shutout inning. Chiang ended up with 9 holds with a 4.32 ERA in 43 appearances. However, his ERA rose to 9.41 in 2018, and he had a 6.68 ERA in 34 games in 2019. He relieved Kai-Wen Cheng in the 8th inning of 2019 Taiwan Series Game 4, and he allowed a run in an inning. He then pitched 1/3 of a shutout inning in Game 5, and the Monkeys beat the Brothers in 5 games.[2]

Chiang spent the next two seasons in the CPBL minor league, and he had a 4.11 ERA in 14 games with the big club in 2022. His ERA was an excellent 0.60 in 15 games in the minor league in the 2022 season, and that earned him a spot in the bullpen of the Brothers in 2023. Chiang pitched 23 games in 2023, and his ERA was 5.00.

Chiang's repertoire features a fastball that peaks at 93.8 mph, a slider and forkball.
