Biographical Information

Chun-Nan Liu pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.

Liu represented Taiwan in the 2000 World Junior Championship, going 1-0 with a save and a 2.38 ERA. He was drafted by the Brother Elephants in the second round of the 2003 CPBL Draft. Liu had a 12.86 ERA in his rookie year, and he had a 2.81 ERA in 12 appearances (7 starts) in 2005. He was 4-13 with a 4.91 ERA in 2006, and he led the league in losses. His ERA rose to 6.81 with a 7-6 record in 2007. Liu was then involved in a game-fixing scandal, and the league banned him for life.

Liu's repertoire included a fastball, curveball, slider and forkball.

Overall, Liu was 13-20 with a 5.31 ERA, struck out 127 and pitched 272 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
