Biographical Information[edit]
Chun-Hsien Wu played for the Taiwanese national team and in the CPBL.
Wu was on the Taiwanese squad for the 1988 World Junior Championship and won Bronze with them in the 1993 Asian Championship [1] He hit .217/.239/.261 in 73 plate appearances for the China Times Eagles in the 1995 CPBL, backing up Chi-Hsin Chen at catcher. B-R Register does not list his catching games. [2] He batted .237/.256/.368 in 40 plate appearances in 1996, including his first pro homer, off Chad Devereux. He moved to the Mercuries Tigers in 1997, batting .233/.250/.302 in 45 plate appearances. He was then banned from the league as part of the Black Eagles scandal. [3] He had hit .227/.247/.300 in 158 plate appearances as a pro. He had further run-ins with the law in 2014 (drunk driving) and 2022 (firing shots at a house). [4]
