Biographical Information[edit]
Chuck Tompkins was the first player from the University of Arkansas to come to the major leagues. After being at Arkansas, he was at Washington and Lee University, which he attended along with two other future major leaguers, Harry Moran and Mark Stewart. All three of them were there in 1912.
Chuck has the unbeatable combination of posting an ERA of 0.00 as a pitcher and also hitting 1.000 as a hitter in the majors.
