Biographical Information[edit]
Chuck Machemehl, who played one year in the majors for the Cleveland Indians in 1971, became a successful businessman in Texas, involved in real estate, oil and gas, and ranching. He served on the Board of the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative. His biography at the Cooperative's website says he served 7 years in the military. He was at Texas Christian University at the same time as Jeff Newman.
On March 27, 1972 in a spring training game, Dick Tidrow and Machemehl combined to three-hit the Oakland Athletics, beating Denny McLain.
