Biographical Information[edit]
Christoph Vanas has played for the Austrian national team.
He played for Vienna in the 2015 PONY League World Series. [1] He made his Austrian Baseball League debut with the 2017 Vienna Wanderers, going 3-1 with a 4.15 ERA. [2] He was 2-2 with a save and a 4.63 ERA in '18 and 2-3 with a league-best four saves and a 4.12 ERA in 2019. [3] He got one start for Austria in the 2019 European Championship but was hit hard by Spain (7 H, 7 R, 3 ER, BB, K in 2 1/3 IP) before Konstantin Teufel took over. A highlight was striking out former Blue Jays farmhand Javier Monzón. [4]
