Biographical Information

Chris Williams was initially an outfielder in college, but served as a two-way player in 2022 and though he was taken as an outfielder by the Detroit Tigers in the 18th round of the 2022 amateur draft, he's been used professionally as a pitcher. He had previously been taken by the Cincinnati Reds in the 15th round of the 2018 amateur draft. He made just two appearances for the FCL Tigers in 2022, allowing 3 earned runs in 1 2/3 innings for a 16.20 ERA; his record was 0-1. He began 2023 with the Lakeland Flying Tigers.
