Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Chris Miyake was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 22nd round of the 1995 amateur draft. He played four seasons in their farm system, briefly reaching the AA level, before playing three more years in the independent leagues.
Miyake was a coach for the Adirondack Lumberjacks in 2002. He was hitting coach of the Brockton Rox of the Canadian-American Association from 2003-2005, then manager of the club from 2006-2008. He was then the hitting coach of the Lincoln Saltdogs from 2009-2011 before managing that club for a year.
