Biographical Information[edit]
Chris Magruder was the only member of Team USA to make the All-Tournament team in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup. He hit .343/.412/.400 with 8 runs and had two outfield assists, not significantly better or worse than teammates Pat Burrell, Bubba Crosby, Jason Tyner and Eric Munson. He was still named one of the top three outfielders in the event alongside Yoshinobu Takahashi and Luis Ulacia. He was 0 for 4 with two walks in the Bronze Medal game loss to Australia.
