Biographical Information[edit]
Chris Celano is a college coach.
After college, Celano signed with Italy's Rimini Pirates, helping them to a Serie A1 title in 1999. He had a 4.22 ERA no decisions in the regular season but allowed only 11 hits in 21 1/3 IP. He got a win in the semifinals and allowed one run in one inning in the finals.
Celano then signed with the Sioux Falls Canaries and Catskill Cougars. In 2000, he was 1-0 with a 11.25 ERA, giving up 17 hits in eight innings between the two clubs.
Chris was an assistant coach at Dowling College from 2002-2004. He was then promoted to head coach; he took the team to the 2009 Division II College World Series.
In 2012, Celano became head coach at the University of New Haven.
