Chino Canonico (VSL)

From BR Bullpen

Named after legendary Venezuelan hurler Daniel "Chino" Canónico, Chino Canonico won the VSL title in its first year, 39-19. A key leader was Indians farmhand Keino Perez (4-1, 2 Sv, 0.58), who would have led in ERA had he qualified. In 2000, the team was second in the Barquisimeto Division behind San Felipe in its second and last year, going 37-22. They had the league leaders in runs (Gabriel Arriechi with 53) and homers and RBI (Darwin Aristgueta with 15 and 56 respectively).
