Biographical Information[edit]

Chien-Hung Kuo had pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.

Kuo was drafted by the Chinatrust Whales in the second round of the 2006 CPBL Draft, but he refused to sign. He then signed with the La New Bears, and he was 5-0 with a 3.38 ERA in the minors in 2008. He had a 9-2 record with a 3.69 ERA in the minors in 2009, and he led the league in wins. Thus, he won a spot in the bullpen of the big club in 2010, and he recorded a 4.59 ERA in 29 games. However, Kuo's ERA rose to 8.02 in 17 relief outings in 2011, then he announced his retirement.

Kuo's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 91.3 mph), changeup, forkball and slider.

Overall, Kuo was 2-3 with a 5.61 ERA, struck out 31 and pitched 86 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
