Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Chevy Clarke was a first-round pick in the 2010 amateur draft. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim took Clarke with the 30th selection, the third Angels player after Kaleb Cowart and Cam Bedrosian, fellow high schoolers. All three were scouted by Chris McAlpin. Clarke was the first position player they selected.

He made his pro debut on July 9 for the AZL Angels, going 2 for 3 against the AZL Athletics and being thrown out stealing once. After 30 games, though, he was hitting only .227/.298/.391.
