Biographical Information

Cheng-Hsien Wu pitched in the CPBL for 5 years.

Wu was selected by the Sinon Bulls in the fourth round of the 2007 CPBL Draft, and he had a 6.75 ERA in 7 games in 2009 after staying in the minor league for a year. He then recorded a 5.40 ERA in 11 games in 2010, then he was released. However, the Bulls lost many pitchers like Ko-Chien Lin due to injuries before the 2011 season, so Wu was signed again. His ERA was 6.68 in 34 appearances in2011, and he had a 6.42 ERA in 24 games in 2012. Wu only pitched 6 games in 2013, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Wu was 3-1 with a 6.72 ERA, struck out 61 and pitched 143 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in the CPBL. His repertoire included a fastball (peak 90.7 mph), curveball, changeup, slider and forkball.
