Biographical Information[edit]

Che-Tsung Wu played in the CPBL and the TML for 10 years.

Wu represented Taiwan in the 1986 World Junior Championship and 1990 Haarlemse Honkbalweek. He was signed by the Jungo Bears when they were founded in 1993, and he hit .205/.280/.265 in his rookie year. Wu improved to .339/.404/.536 in 1994, but he soon slumped to .211/.276/.337 in 1995. He then hit .206/.292/.381 and .236/.290/.291 respectively in the next two seasons.

Wu's batting line was .255/.338/.366 with a career-high 20 doubles in 1998, and he was 9-for-20 in the 1998 Taiwan Series. The Sinon Bulls (the Bears had changed their name) were beaten by the Wei Chuan Dragons in 7 games. Wu's batting line fell to .167/.214/.256 in 1999, and he was released. The Taichung Agan of the TML picked him up, and he hit .242/.313/.292 for them in 2000. He recorded a .282/.338/.324 batting line in 2001, and he hit .307/.384/.404 IN 2002. When two leagues merged in 2003, Wu announced his retirement.

Overall, Wu had hit .256/.327/.357 with 361 hits and 16 homers in 10 seasons in the CPBL and the TML.
