Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Charlie Short played in the New York Yankees minor league system from 2012 to 2014. He was signed by the club as a non-drafted free agent on July 31, 2012.

With the Charleston Riverdogs in 2012, Short was 1-0 with a 4.41 ERA in 16 1/3 innings, striking out 23 batters. In 2013, he was a combined 6-2 with a 2.02 ERA in 36 appearances between Charleston, the Tampa Yankees and the Trenton Thunder, with 85 Ks in 62 1/3 innings. He was 8-6 with a 5.25 ERA in 36 games between the Thunder and Normal CornBelters, with whom he played for most of the season after being released by the Yankees in May. He struck out 64 batters in 60 innings.
